Mareli

Hi I’m Mareli

I’m a total creative being and always find myself in some kind of arty creative situation.

During the week I’m a full time production manager in the TV industry which challenges me in exciting ways and in my spare time I indulge in the makeup world and where I’m privileged to be part of a bride’s special day.

I absolutely love working with people and believe through my work and all the heartfelt chats I have with my clients, I believe I can make a positive impact in someone’s life. I’m a hopeless romantic and always love to hear the bride and groom’s story.

In 2013 I graduated from University of Pretoria with a BA Drama Degree and thereafter I completed my Diploma in Makeup Design and Artistry at Face to Face, Beauty and Makeup Design School, where I’ve also been internationally qualified through completing the ITEC exam.

Since 2016 I’ve been working as a freelance makeup artist in the Television industry where I’ve had the privilege to work with so many amazing people. I’ve done makeup for shows as “Wie’s jou poppie” with Melinda Bam, “Klipwerf Kuiers” with Die Klipwerf Orkes, various other TV productions including Die Groot Ontbyt, ChatNOU, Elke skewe Pot and Die Kasteel. I’ve done hair and makeup for a few Music videos as well.

At the moment I specialize in Bridal hair and makeup, although I sometimes enjoy doing photoshoots with a bit more creative looks. I believe a bride should not only look amazing but also feel like the most beautiful woman on her wedding day, without looking like a complete stranger. Therefore I would describe my style as natural glam where I focus on enhancing a bride’s natural and inner beauty.

In my spare time I love reading, watching a romantic movie, making some clothes, painting or spending time with my loved ones. I’m a sucker for a good shopping spree and I will never say no to Ice Cream.
I'm passionate about helping women feel beautiful and confident in their own skin.

Beauty is power, and makeup is something that really enhances that. It’s a woman’s secret - Charlotte Tilbury
