I finally hosted my first team creative day!

I’ve been daydreaming about putting together a content day for my team for the longest time and we finally did it!

I was inspired by my friend Storme from Storme makeup and hair to do a creative day. She’s been doing it for years and in doing so managed to curate an incredible portfolio for herself and her team that appeals directly to their dream clients.

When I first pursued this idea I was so overwhelmed by having to put a shoot together.

Booking a venue, flowers, dresses, accessories, models  the photographer etc. left me with crippling anxiety which resulted in me just putting it off for months.

To keep myself accountable I told my team to keep the date open for our creative day.

I contacted my photographer friend Warren from Warren Carrol Photo (who is amazingly talented in bridal and portrait photography) we had a chat about what I needed and we decided to keep it simple.

When our creative day arrived we turned my living room into a makeup and hair station and my garage into a photography studio, pumped the music and had a stack of snacks and drinks. It was a full house with such a fun vibe.

Warren was amazing and setup a preview station on his laptop as he was shooting, we were literally freaking out as we saw the unedited images popping up through the shoot. It looked beyond amazing! His assignment was to stay true to how the makeup and hair looked in reality so no over editing and crazy filters and let me tell you, he understood the assignment!

Here are the results of my beautiful model Chanté’s photos, to say I’m obsessed is an understatement!
